Computer Sciences and Engineering Week

SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) is an annual program dedicated to inspiring K-12 students to take interest in computer science.

This Global Project is organized by non-profit organization Code.org.  Event is supported by 350 partners and 100,000 educators worldwide.

For already two years International Black Sea University is taking part in Computer Science Education Week.

In 2017, December 4-10, Faculty of Computer Technologies and Engineering held Computer Science and Engineering Week.

The audience of the event was 8,9,10 and 11 graders. About 80 students from different schools attended several public lectures and did the Hour of Code. They also had a skype call from New York with the international volunteer Stefana Muller, who is founder of ‘Long Island Women in Tech’ and DevOps and CI/CD Entrepreneur.

International Black Sea University students from different faculties also participated as volunteers. They were responsible for organizational issues and helped school children in Hour of Code.

Participants were awarded with certificates and presents.
