Essay contests for international students

We are glad to inform you of an essay contest, the essence of which is to get acquainted with the poem called “Gamzrdeli” by the great writer Akaki Tsereteli and write an essay on the topic “What defines a human: nature or society“. The contest is open to every international student from Georgian universities!

This contest will enhance your knowledge of Georgian literature, you will get the opportunity to prove yourself and win a gift from our sponsor Sulakuri bookstore!

Criteria for the essay: Minimum word count 700, should be submitted as a pdf, the text should be in Sylfaen 12, justified. The already formatted word file is attached to this mail.

Essays will be evaluated by a jury from the Lingo Quest club. The essays should be sent to our email: Isic@ibsu.edu.ge. The deadline is the 13th of May and the winners will be announced on the 16th of May. 

We will also announce a club meeting specifically planned to further discuss the poem, explain the cultural background, and answer any questions that you might have.
