Prof. Dr. Ivor Timmis form Leeds Beckett University

 On January 10 the Center for Teaching Excellence and the Faculty of Education and Humanities were visited by Prof., Dr. Ivor timmis form Leeds Beckett University (Leeds, UK). He is on the editorial board of our Journal of Education in Black Sea Region.

 We also discussed other possibilities of cooperation, such as co-supervision of doctorate dissertations in Education Sciences program, joint research, and cooperation between our universities.   

 Ivor Timmis has been involved in English language teaching for around 30 years as a teacher, teacher trainer MA tutor and PhD supervisor. In the course of his work he has travelled to over 20 countries for conferences, courses and projects. Ivor's main research interest is in the analysis and teaching of spoken language. He has published on this topic in English Language Teaching Journal and Applied Linguistics. Ivor is currently on the editorial panel for TESOL Quarterly and was previously on the editorial panel for English Language Teaching Journal. He is the author of several books in English language teaching and linguistics.
