“The Main Aspects of Foreign Policy of Georgia“
04.11.2016On November 2 deputy minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia delivered public lecture on “The Main Aspects of Foreign Policy of Georgia”. In the framework of the lecture Mr. Dondua talked about the peculiarities of decision-making process, more specifically, he reviewed policy-planning and analysis mechanisms. Speaker compared characteristics of conducting domestic and foreign policies. Presenting important strategic documents he explained main priorities and concrete mechanisms of their implementation.
Mr. Dondua talked about the essence of diplomatic missions and their functions and duties. In the framework of the lecture the main directions of Georgian foreign policy was discussed, non-recognition politics, Euro integration, cooperation with regional organizations, cultural diplomacy and etc.
Public Lecture conducted by Mr. David Dondua was an opening meeting of public lecture series under the title “Challenges to Decision-Making Process in Domestic and Foreign Policy of Georgia”. Lectures by Georgia’s leading decision-makers, experts and researchers representing state institutions, HIEs, NGOs, think-tanks and research centers will be focusing on various aspects and diverse strategies of domestic and foreign policy decision-making. In the framework of the project, speakers will also discuss recent developments in Georgia’s civil society realm, citizens’ inclusion, empowerment and, finally, self-perception of the Georgian people in the state building process since the demise of the USSR. At the end of the lecture series, the most active participants will be awarded certificates.
