From November 7 to 9, at the International Black Sea University, within the framework of the International Relations program, a 3-day lecture course will be held: “How does the European Union work?”. The course will be led by Roman Strasser, Former Official from the European Parliament, and honorary doctor of the International Black Sea University.
Students of International Black Sea University can participate.
Participation is free, and students attending all three lectures will receive a certificate.

- The genesis and development of the European Union from the 50ties until today;
- The European Institutions and bodies;
Day 2 – 8 October 11:00
The European Parliament:
Day 3
– The legislative triangle: European Parliament, Council of the EU, European Commission;
– Role of national Parliaments
– Role of Lobbyists
-The role of European Political Parties (EPP, Socialists, ALDE, etc. )
– The challenges the EU has to face
– Georgia in the EU and the EU in Georgia: a win and mutual benefit situation.
– Internship opportunities for Georgian students in EU institutions, political organizations and NGOs.
– Students’ delegations and study visits to European Institutions

One break: 10 minutes
