IBSU hosted a week-long International Summer School

International Black Sea University hosted a week-long International Summer School “Explore the Caucasus, at the Crossroads of Empires.” The interdisciplinary school is funded by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia as a winner of the grant call for promoting scientific research projects and international scientific activities in the field of Caucasus Studies and is supported by the Interdisciplinary Research Center at IBSU.

The school involved not only Georgian students, young professionals, and researchers interested in the cultural and political past of the Caucasus but also international participants. Experienced scholars and scientists from Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Europe have delivered a series of lectures, accompanied by exploring and retrospection of discussed samples of artifacts displayed in the different museums of Georgia.
