IBSU professors win Rustaveli Foundation’s scientific grant

The International Black Sea University project “Georgia at the Crossroads of Empires: Politics, Society, Time, Narratives of Georgian Integration” has won Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation’s scientific grant.

The scientific research project was created based on the IBSU Interdisciplinary Research Centre.

The IBSU professors and young researchers are involved in the project, including Eka Avaliani, Tamta Tskhovrebadze, Davit Bragvadze, who is also a Professor at Caucasus University, Zurab Bragvadze, and Sorbonne University professor Giusto Traina.

The project seeks to analyse Georgia’s integration process with empires and global states in the pre-capitalist and capitalist eras, and to study Georgia’s integration process into international global political networks, and its upshots.

The project envisages publishing monograph, and articles, as well as creating materials for MA courses and programs and arranging an international conference.

As part of the international conference, the initiative also comprises hosting foreign scholars.
