International Marketing Conference New Marketing Era in Region

On November 15-17, 2011 selected students of marketing program of IBSU and professors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kakhaber Djakeli and Prof. Dr. Tatiana Papiashvili, visited Yerevan, Armenia to join the Students Forum and international marketing conference New Marketing Era in Region. The special guest of the two events was Philip Kotler, the marketing guru, the author of the bestseller marketing books. At the Forum on November 15, 2011, students had a chance to listen to the insightful lecture delivered by professor Kotler, where he overviewed general branches of marketing and referred to modern trends in this field. He provided students with guidance on how to choose appropriate marketing branches and how to specialize in them. At the end of the lecture, students put questions. On the next day, Mr. Jakeli, professor of marketing and Ms. Papiashvili, professor of economics took part in the conference and presented their scholarly papers on “Matrix of Brand Awareness as a Success Factor in Political Market” and “Challenges of Business Education: the Case of Georgia”.  Program participants left Yerevan with great impressions and hope to meet their idol in Tbilisi next year as he promised.
