Mayor Leslie Chandle from Georgia Army National Guard

The students, lecturers of the American Studies program, Dean and Head of the American Studies programs Affiliated Professor Tamar Shioshvili at IBSU hosted Mayor Leslie Chandler, invited by the U.S. Embassy. She’s been the chaplain of the Georgia Army National Guard.

 The young lady shared with students her responsibilities towards soldiers, involving teaching classes on resiliency, communication, reintegration, conflict management, goal setting, time management; at the same time counselling and work with other leaders in the organization to find healthy ways to care for soldiers and their families. Students’ questions were followed by extremely interesting dialogue-discussion.
