On 28 March 2014 the second annual student conference at the Faculty of Education and Humanities was held. This was the first time it was held for both directions – Education and American Studies. Also this year it was an interuniversity conference – students from Akaki State University and I.Gogebashvili Telavi State University participated in it. From now on it will involve not only BA, but also MA students. Four sections worked: Education, Literature, Linguistics and American Studies. Winners (Svetlana Demurcheva, Nino Chitoirelidze and Guranda Khabeishvili from IBSU; Salome Khurtsidze from ATSU) were chosen for each section by a mixed (lecturer and student) jury, who were awarded winning certificates and 100 GEL each at the opening ceremony of the 4th International Research Conference on Education, English Language Teaching, English Language and Literatures in English. Best topics received a recommendation to be presented at the conference.
