IBSU hosts conference on “New Trends In English Language Teaching”

International Black Sea University (IBSU) in collaboration with the US Embassy in Tbilisi hosted an education conference on “New Trends In English Language Teaching.”

The conference was opened by Eavan Cully | Cultural Attaché – U.S. Embassy Tbilisi, and the keynote address was given by John Silver | Regional English Language Officer (RELO) Ankara. IBSU Rector Kakha Shengelia and conference co-organizer, Prof. Dr. Ekaterine Pipia also addressed the attendees.

The conference was followed by a series of workshops on language teaching delivered by 17 American experts. The topics included strategies for teaching academic writing, ChatGPT integration in teaching, professional development opportunities in English language teaching, and the role of English in media literacy.
