Training for Fulbright English Teaching Assistants at IBSU

In cooperation with the US Embassy in Georgia, IBSU hosted 5 Fulbright English Teaching Assistants and researchers on Thursday, September 14 and Friday, September 15 for two days of orientation, language lessons, and teacher training.

 The newly arrived Americans were welcomed at IBSU within their first week in the country. IBSU faculty provided several seminars and an IBSU students gave 3 hours of Georgian language lessons to the program participants. While there are a variety of Fulbright programs for American and non-American citizens, these program participants will stay in Georgia to assist English teachers and conduct scholarly research For 9 months. After the orientation is finished, teaching assistants will move to locations in Tbilisi, Adjara, Svaneti, and Shida Kartli.
