International Black Sea University, LLC announces an open contest for Professor in Law (Private Law) (1 vacancy for 5 years); Language of instruction is English.

Vacancy:
Affiliate Professor – 1 vacancy for 5 years in Law (Private Law) Direction.

Qualification requirements for Professor:
1 – Doctoral degree or equivalent (in Law or Jurisprudence);
2 – At least 6 (sıx) years of scientific-teaching experience;
3 – at least 3 (three) years of working experience as an associate professor/professor at any higher educational institution recognized by the state;
4 – Meeting the requirements defined by the scientific -pedagogical activity report (minimum 200 points; 100 points must be collected from academic publications/books);
5 – English Language proficiency (at least B2 level);

There is a possibility to qualified candidates to obtain academic position based on professional merit. In this case, the qualification of the person can be confirmed with her/his professional experience, special training and/or publications. A person can be considered as correspondingly qualified, if she/he has a qualification necessary for developing learning outcomes and meets the following criteria:
Holds a PhD or equivalent degree in a different field;
Has significant working experience in the relevant field for at least 10 (ten) years;
A minimum of 2 publications in the relevant field and / or the field specific training during the last 5 (five) years; and
At least 1 year scientific-teaching experience at Higher Educational Institution.
English Language proficiency (at least B2 level)

Candidates are required to sign Affiliation Agreement with the University.

Notary approved copy of Georgian Diploma and/or notary approved translation of foreign Diploma/relevant certificate. If the diploma is not issued yet, temporary graduation certificate is necessary. If the diploma is issued by a foreign HEI, it must be recognized under the Georgian legislation by the corresponding body and a copy of recognition letter is required;
Document(s) certifying scientific-teaching experience;
CV in English and Georgian Languages providing at least two reccomendations;
Report on Scientific and Teaching Work (R36I1F1 – Attached); Collecting at least 200 points (100 points must be collected from academic publications/books) for the academic position of a Professor; For applicants considered on academic merit Report is not required.
List of published relevant articles and publications during the last 5 years and their copies;
Syllabus (R3I2F3 – Attached): In Georgian and English. Submitting a syllabus prepared in different format is also acceptable.
Certificate from current / previous job relevant to the vacancy (other than IBSU) or Book of Work Records;
Certificates/documents proving participation in trainings and conferences (if any);
If applicable, a copy of English Language Certificate/a copy of the document certifying receiving higher education exclusively in English Language. If the document is issued in foreign language, notary approved translation/copy is required;
Documents confirming a relevance by professional merit (if applicant is willing to obtain academic position on professional merit);
Other documents relevant to the vanacy requirements (if any).

The commission is authorized to request the candidate to conduct a sample lecture. The sample lecture is delivered in the language of instruction of the program.
