2nd Hugo Sinzheimer Moot Court Competition took place at Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark
11.07.2017 2nd Hugo Sinzheimer Moot Court Competition took place at Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark. A team from International Black Sea University, the only team from Georgia, participated in it for the second time and became semi-finalists. At the same time, Georgia was the only participant non-member country.
The IBSU team members were Junior and Senior students of the Bachelor Program of Law – Tamar Tkeshelashvili, Nukri Jintcharadze, Nino Taganashvili, Ana Mikhelidze. The coach was an expert of Labor Law – Zakaria Shvelidze and the dean of Law Faculty of International Black Sea University.
The organizing and advisory committees consisted of university professors, attorneys and judges throughout EU, among them:
Dr. Ronald Beltzer, Professor, University of Amsterdam, Director of the Hugo Sinzheimer Institute at the University of Amsterdam, and chair of the Organising Committee; Dr. Manfred Weiss, Professor emeritus, Goethe University in Frankfurt, Chairperson of the Advisory Board of Hugo Sinzheimer Moot Court Competition, etc.
Panels – judging the case consisted of organizers, as well as student judges from host law country (Hungary) and invited judges from Aarhus City Court.
Georgian team was financially supported by International Black Sea University and USAID program of Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia.
