On November 15, 2012, Annual International Research Conference on American Studies was held in the International Black Sea University (IBSU), organized by the American Studies Direction of the Faculty of. The participants of the conference were: Georgian and American professors, doctorates, B.A. and M.A. program (U.S. Foreign Affairs) students of the American Studies Department of the Faculty of Humanities; professors of the I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University; professors of the Akaki Tsereteli Kutaisi State University. The Ambassador of the United States of America in Georgia Richard Norland, Prof. Dr. Vice-Rector of International Black Sea University Giuli Alasania, Ph.D. Vice President for Development at Caucasus University Edward Raupp, Professor of Economics David Aptsiauri, and Counselor of the Political Department at Georgian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, invited lecturer of the AMS Department Kakhi Kenkadze delivered speeches at the opening of the conference.
